FitMorph Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-07

FitMorph is a browser extension that recommends a clothing size on online apparel stores by comparing a store's size chart with measurements you enter. It is provided by TANILAN CCONSULTING LLC ("Tanilan CC", "we", "us"), a Virginia limited liability company. This policy explains what data FitMorph handles, who receives it and for how long.

What FitMorph handles

We do not collect your name, email, account details, browsing history, cart contents, payment information or photos. FitMorph uses no cookies, analytics or advertising.

On your device

Your measurements, the people you add and any pending "Did it fit?" questions are stored in the extension's local storage, encrypted with AES-256-GCM. The key is created on your device and the extension cannot export it. This data is not synced through your Chrome account.

The encryption protects against someone casually reading the extension's storage. It cannot protect against malicious software running on your computer, and a backup of your whole browser profile includes both the encrypted data and the key. If the key is lost, for example because the extension's data was cleared, the saved measurements can no longer be read and you will need to enter them again.

What is sent, and who receives it

When you open a supported product page, the extension sends the product content, plus the measurements and clothing group of the person you are shopping for, over HTTPS to the FitMorph server to calculate a size.

RecipientWhat it receivesWhy
FitMorph server (operated by us) Product content, measurements and clothing group of the person you are shopping for; "Did it fit?" answers if you give them To calculate the size, and to improve size recommendations. Measurements are used only to compute that one response and are not logged or stored.
Google (Gemini API) The product title, size chart text, description and clothing group; size-chart pictures, which our server downloads from the store. Never your measurements, names or the page address. To read the size chart into a standard form
Render, our hosting provider, and Cloudflare, which carries traffic to it Connection data for every request, such as IP address, request time and the address requested To run the service and keep it secure
Neon, our database provider Extracted size charts and "Did it fit?" answers To store them for the periods below

FitMorph uses Google's paid Gemini API service. Under Google's Gemini API terms for paid services, Google doesn't use this content to improve its products; it logs it for a limited time only to detect misuse.

When our server downloads a size-chart picture, the store's website sees a request from our server, not from you.

"Did it fit?" answers

When you click Add to cart on a page where FitMorph showed a size, the extension remembers the product name, store and size, encrypted on your device, so it can later ask how it fitted. You can dismiss any question, and Delete my data removes them all.

If you answer, the extension sends: the garment type (top, bottom or bra), clothing group, fabric type, fit style, how much room each area of the size you bought had and FitMorph's fit rating for it, whether you bought the suggested size or a smaller or larger one, your answer, the extension version, and whether the store's chart listed garment or body measurements.

An answer never includes your measurements, your name, the store, the product, the page address or the size label, and our server rejects any answer that tries to include them. We store each answer with the time it arrived. Answers are de-identified, not anonymous: our hosting provider's connection logs hold the IP address and time of each request for a short period (see below), so in principle an answer could be matched to a connection while those logs exist. We do not attempt to do this. Answers are stored individually and analysed in summary to improve FitMorph's size recommendations.

How long we keep data

Deletions of size charts and answers run automatically every day.

How we use data

We use and transfer data only as needed to provide or improve FitMorph's sizing feature. We do not sell or rent data, and we do not use or transfer it for advertising, personalized ads, creditworthiness or lending decisions, or any purpose unrelated to sizing. The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Children

FitMorph is for adults (18 and over) and is not intended for use by children. An adult can add a profile for a child they shop for, such as their son or daughter; the adult creates, edits and deletes that profile. Like all measurements, a child's measurements are stored encrypted on the adult's device and are sent to our server only to calculate a size; they are not stored there. Children should not use FitMorph or enter information themselves. If you believe a child has, contact us and we will help remove it.

Your choices and requests

In the extension you can remove any person, or choose Delete my data to erase everyone's measurements, pending fit questions and the key that encrypts them. Uninstalling the extension also removes them.

You can also email us at info@tanilancc.com to ask what data we hold about you, or to ask us to correct or delete it. Because we keep no accounts and "Did it fit?" answers carry nothing that identifies you, we usually cannot find one person's answers; we will tell you if that is the case. We respond within 45 days. Where the law gives you a right to appeal our decision, reply to our response with "Appeal" in the subject line, and we will answer the appeal within 60 days.

Changes

When this policy changes, we update the date at the top. Use of FitMorph is also covered by our Terms of Use.
